As most of you know, I've now been in Northern Ireland for about a day and a half. I'm living in a town called Derry, and it is unbelievably gorgeous. Well, everything I've seen has been unbelievably gorgeous. And this WEATHER!
Today the sweet friends I'm living with took me to their friend's farm in the hills. They advised me to bring my camera along and I'm thankful I took their advice. The drive up was sunny, beautiful, and rainy- of course. Saw some animals and was more or less speechless the entire visit from the pure splendor of it. I assure you the pictures do it no justice.
(I also took my first trip to the grocery today and it's not pictured because it is a tad stressful being at a new store in a new country with a new currency and no phone. I now have a phone though.) Anyways here are the pictures.
These pictures were literally taken 10 minutes apart. Quick rain and back to sunshine. Notice the massive windmills on the tops of the horizon.
Friendliest donkey. Or perhaps a large puppy.
On the drive home, we stopped to take in the view of Derry.
As we pulled away from the farm we noticed this light rainbow. Then I spotted another out my bedroom window when we got home.
Had a chat about my role while I'm here and it's very exciting. Expect to see many more pictures around town and perhaps a beach and a neighboring town. Life is lovely and full and I'm so thankful for those that helped make this a reality.
