Dream Homes From My Travels

I have been in many cities now in Northern Ireland and the Republic. Not surprisingly, I've had many moments of looking at a perfect place, in a perfect location, and imagining myself living there. Sipping coffee on a mountain, drinking ice cream on my porch overlooking the river, etc. etc. These are just a few of them. There have been loads more, but I am a lazy documenter. I've ordered them in order of seeing them, not preference. (The first one is my least favorite though.) More like a conveniant vacation home;)

THIS ONE. And wait to see where it's located.

ON A MOUNTAN BY THE BEACH. I know.

This one I saw very quickly driving by. That's a lake and a mountain range behind it. It is straight out of a book.

Drumroll please....

Donegal Castle!!! Someone lived here. Lots of people have lived here.

This was a major selling point for me. Exactly what I would've paired with it. Ultra modern black with ultra old stone castle. I can't agree more.

This part was built in the 1470's. lol right?

Slots of beams, connected fireplaces and chimney's fully intact. I don't know why someone doesn't just buy it and restore it. I guess they can't because "historical preservation, yada yada".

This one would do as well. It wouldn't take as much work, ya know. ;)

AND THIS ONE, OH MY GOSH.

Picture this: glass roof. Don't put in a second floor, just leave it tall and open.

image.jpg

Keep the trees as much as possible. You know, a few might have to be trimmed for putting in the roof and all.

Definitely keep the mossy stairs. Safety hazards and all.

I have more pictures, of course from everything else I've done. I'm slooowwwlllyy sifting through them. And seriously wishing I had a normal computer-blog-camera relationship. My computer, ipad, flickr, camera, blog setup is getting a little exhausting.

Happy Thursday, friends.
